Klee did not paint like other artists of his day. He liked to work alone and usually did about two hundred pictures a year, each one different from the last. Many of his pictures were made up of shapes and patterns that had a hidden meaning. His works reflect his dry humor and his sometimes child-like perspective, his personal moods and beliefs, and his musicality.

The Winners are:

1st Place:Mina Schubert

2nd Place:Amber Garcha

3rd Place:Carter Allain

Price:
1st place - $50 noodle doodle gift certificate, award ribbon and a surprise.
2nd place – $20 noodle doodle gift certificate, award ribbon and a surprise.
3rd place - $10 noodle doodle gift certificate, award ribbon and a surprise.

Why art?

Exposure to visual art is an essential part of a child’s mental
and social development. Through art, children learn to express themselves and to develop their own sense of style.

Studies indicate that children who participate in art are:

- 4X more likely to be recognized for academic achievement,
- 4X more likely to participate in math and science fairs,
- 3X more likely to hold student government positions, and
- 3X more likely to win an award for school attendance.

Better test scores through arts!
Children who engage in art have higher scores in reading, writing, and especially math. Kids will learn to be more tolerant and open through their involvement in the arts.

Participation in the arts also encourages creative thinking, language fluency, originality, and elaboration.

Why noodle doodle?

We believe all children are born artists. At noodle doodle, we want our younger ones to be able to realize what they can do with their own hands.

Little ones will have a sense of accomplishment and will proudly show off their masterpieces to mom and dad, grandparents, and friends.

To be able to talk about their works help them to appreciate, it’s a lesson learn, not something that they did and forget about it later on because they have proves, years later, they can still pull out their works and say:

"I did this!"

Elliot Eisner, a professor emeritus of education at Stanford University: “Learning through the arts promotes the idea that there is more than one solution to a problem, or more than one answer to a question.”

noodle doodle is a proud member of the National Art Education Association.
