Explorers

(ages 3 - 5)

Our explorers will explore different ways of creating arts.
Children will enjoy the process of creating while absorbing different
knowledge. With various educational topics, the child’s intelligence will
naturally unfold throught the process of drawing, painting and
making crafts.

Tasters

(ages 2 - 3)with parent or caregiver

Parent and child will have a taste of using different materials to create unique masterpieces. An opportunity for toddlers to havetheir first experience with paint, glue, scissors, and more.Through the process of creating, our little artists will perfect their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. This is also a very good opportunity for your pre-preschoolers to experience a classroom, instructional environment.

Beginners
(ages 8 - 10)

Level l - Learn how to see like an artist and paint or draw like one!

Drawing, painting and creating in fun ways. We will cover basic drawing and painting techniques such as
but not limited to perspectives, composition, seeing lines and spaces.
We will also be doing presentations and learn art appreciation skills.

Level ll - (Pre-requisite: Beginners Level l or
Pre-Beginners Level ll)

Our Beginners will be looking at different artists around the World and learn to
use their
techniques in creating unique masterpieces

Pre-Beginners
(ages 5 - 7)


Level l - Getting ready for formal art education.

In addition to exploring a vrietyof art media, we will begin learning the basic elements of visual art.
Our little artists will be drawing, painting and creating in fun andeducational ways. We will also be doing presentations and learn art appreciation skills.

Level ll - (Pre-requisite: Pre-Beginners Level l)

Our artists are ready to get in-depth skills and techniques in different areas of art medium such as watercolor, drawing, sketch, charcoal, arcrylic painting, etc.

About our teacher:

Mrs Cristina Laudo

In 1986, Cristina graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, with a major in Advertising and minor in Painting, at the University Of Santo Tomas (UST). Commonly known as UST, it is the oldest existing Catholic University in the Philippines, at 400 years old.

Her favorite medium includes chalk pastel, watercolor and egg tempera. She likes to paint landscapes, mostly picturesque views from her travels. Cristina has shown her paintings in several exhibits, including the Annual Waterford Art Exhibition in 2005 and 2007, and at the Washington Convention Center in 1988, during the World Convention of Anesthesiologist.
Cristina has experience working not just with common painting media, but also with clay and plaster sculptures, cast molding, stone and glass mosaic and wood block printing to name a few.

Cristina has lived in Ashburn, VA for ten years. She lives with her husband, and their two boys, ages 8 and 3.
